The “Want to Date?” program, part of MCV Media and Technology Group (MCV Group), is being impersonated by individuals who are committing illegal acts and misappropriating assets from viewers/users.
Specifically, these individuals impersonated members of the “Want to Date?” program team to commit illegal acts aimed at luring users into participating in unofficial social media platforms, websites, and dating apps. They demanded participants TRANSFER MONEY to register through their dark web sites, with amounts reaching tens or even hundreds of millions of Vietnamese dong to complete the registration process.
More sophisticatedly, these individuals not only operated in Vietnam but also carried out their impersonation activities in the United States…
Below is an example of the aforementioned misconduct: The perpetrators illegally used images, trademarks, and logos of the “You Want to Date?” program to create social media accounts and search for victims. They then impersonated the program’s crew, contacted users to invite them to participate in dating shows, and demanded payment. Furthermore, these individuals also illegally used images of artists Quyen Linh, Ngoc Lan, and Cat Tuong (former hosts of the “You Want to Date?” program) to gain the trust of their victims.
The “You Want to Date?” program – MCV Group affirms that all the information above is fake. Viewers and users need to be vigilant and cautious about information, especially not providing personal information or complying with any unreasonable requests such as paying fees to participate from unofficial sources.
